Signal Strength Checker ("the App", "we", "our", or "us") respects your privacy and is committed to protecting your information. This Privacy Policy explains what information the App accesses, how it is used, and your rights when using the application.

By installing or using Signal Strength Checker, you agree to the practices described in this Privacy Policy.

1. Information We Access

Signal Strength Checker is designed to analyze and display information about your device's WiFi and cellular network connections.

Depending on the features you use, the App may access the following information directly from your device:

  • WiFi signal strength (RSSI/dBm)
  • Cellular signal strength (RSSI, RSRP, RSRQ, SINR, etc., where available)
  • Network technology (2G, 3G, LTE, 5G, NR, etc.)
  • Mobile network operator name
  • Network type
  • Connected WiFi SSID
  • Connected WiFi BSSID (where supported)
  • Frequency, channel, bandwidth, and link speed
  • Nearby WiFi network information
  • Device model and Android version (only when required for compatibility or diagnostics)

This information is displayed only for the purpose of providing network analysis and diagnostics.

2. Permissions We Use

Location Permission

Android requires Location permission to scan and display nearby WiFi networks.

Signal Strength Checker does not use this permission to determine, track, monitor, or store your physical location.

The permission is used solely because Android requires it for WiFi scanning.

We do not collect, transmit, or store your GPS coordinates.

Nearby WiFi Devices Permission

On supported Android versions, the App may request permission to scan nearby WiFi networks.

This permission is used only to display available WiFi networks and their signal information.

Phone Permission

The App may request permission to read cellular network information.

This permission allows the App to display:

  • Cellular signal strength
  • Network generation
  • Network operator
  • Cell-related information supported by Android

The App does not read your phone number, contacts, call history, or text messages.

Notification Permission (if applicable)

If you enable signal monitoring notifications, the App may request notification permission to display ongoing signal information.

Notifications remain entirely on your device.

3. How We Use Information

Information accessed by the App is used only to:

  • Display WiFi signal strength
  • Display cellular signal strength
  • Analyze network quality
  • Monitor connection performance
  • Generate signal history
  • Display network statistics
  • Improve the stability and functionality of the App

We do not sell your information.

We do not create advertising profiles based on your network data.

4. Signal History

If you choose to save signal history, all records are stored locally on your device.

Examples include:

  • Signal strength history
  • Network statistics
  • Previous scans

These records never leave your device unless you explicitly export or share them.

You can delete all saved history at any time from within the App.

5. Data Sharing

We do not sell, rent, or share your personal information with third parties.

The App does not upload your signal history or network scans to our servers because we do not operate any servers for this purpose.

6. Third-Party Services

The App may use trusted third-party services that operate under their own privacy policies.

These services may collect certain technical information necessary to provide their functionality.

Examples include:

  • Google AdMob (advertising)
  • Google Play Services

These services may collect information such as:

  • Advertising ID
  • Device identifiers
  • App interactions
  • Crash information
  • Diagnostic information

If personalized advertising is enabled on your device, advertisements may be personalized according to Google's advertising policies.

7. Analytics

Signal Strength Checker does not collect personal analytics unless analytics services are enabled in the application.

If analytics are enabled in future versions, they will be used only to improve application performance and reliability.

8. Data Security

We take reasonable measures to protect the information stored by the App.

Since signal history is stored locally on your device, its security also depends on your device's own security settings.

Although we strive to protect your information, no method of electronic storage is completely secure.

9. Children's Privacy

Signal Strength Checker is not directed toward children under the age of 13.

We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

If you believe that a child has provided personal information through the App, please contact us so appropriate action can be taken.

10. Your Choices

You may:

  • Deny permissions
  • Revoke permissions at any time from Android Settings
  • Delete stored signal history
  • Clear the App's data through Android Settings
  • Uninstall the App at any time

Please note that some features may not function correctly if required permissions are denied.
